Red Gum Forest |
| The collectively known Barmah-Millewa Forest covers some 70,000 hectares and is the largest Redgum forest in the Southern Hemisphere. Frequent flooding has created a vast mosaic of swamps and lagoons known as the Millewa Wetlands. The area is home to hundreds of birds, animals, plants and trees. These have been recognised under the Ramsar Convention as "wetlands of international significance". |
